Cheering Rant !!!

I AM GOING TO MAKE THIS CLEAR! Cheerleading is a sport and if you don't think so well look at all the athletes who strive to be the best with all the work and to pay thousands of dollars to be with the team they love and to perform on that blue nine panel mat  in front of over 2000 people and maybe over 1 million people watching. I CHEERED FOR 6 YEARS AND ALL THE TIMES I PERFORMED WAS THE BEST . IF I WAS SICK I WOULD GIVE 120 MORE EFFORT THAN I USUALLY DO! ITS SO CRAZY LIKE I CNAT EVEN DESCRIBE THE FEELING WHEN IM ON THAT MAT. I LOVEEEEEE PERFORMING SO ITS EASY AND FUN FOR ME! NOW ONCE AGAIN YOU STILL SAY CHEERING ISNT A SPORT YET LOOK AT THIS PICTURE

AND CHEERING DOSENT MATTER TO PEOPLE! YAHHHHH OK . BTW THEIR ARE SO MUCH MORE BECAUSE ALL THE TEAMS AROUND THE WORLD COME TO COMPETE WHICH IS SO COOL. YOU SEE JAPAN, MEXICO, EVERY WHERE!!! SO COOL! ANYWAY SO YOU STILL THINK CHEERING ISNT A SPORT LOOK UP VIDEOS AND PICS AND WATCH REALITY SHOWS ABOUT THE TEAMS! It shows how much heart and effort they put in it ! BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHEERING ISNT A SPORT. BTW THAT WAS Sarcasm!! BUT TO END THIS OFF NICELY I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT CHEERING IS A SPORT AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THEY DESERVE MORE REWARDS! ALL IN ALL YOUR WELCOME FOR NOT MAKING THIS LONG RAVENDA AND TO EVERYONE ELSE BUT HAVE A BLESSED DAY!!

Story blog!

THIS IS A VERY LATE BLOG POST! I've been extremely busy with a lot of things! I cant wait till summer so i can slow things down! I could not have to worry about anything and just have fun with my friends. Anyway (sorry getting distracted), but this blog post is about a narrative that i read in class a couple of weeks ago. I read my friend Jennifer's writing and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It was about a love story between a bad boy in a gang, and a cute little adult girl that is sweet as can be and is falling for each other. This story starts off with them being extremely q together as friends and they end up dating. The story then ends terribly when a guy that tried to get with the boys girl kidnaps the girl and it ends badly! The boy dies because the girl dies by the kidnapper. Then the boy dies because he was to sad to not be with the girl anymore so committed suicide. THIS ENDING MADE ME CRY INSIDE AND OUT! In her story you make such a good connection with these characters that when they are gone its so sad cause it was like they were real people. They were so q and omg that has to be the best narrative in the class! To sum up, this is my blog post and i hope you enjoyed it!!!!BYEEEEEEEEEEE <3<3<3<3 Thanks for reading!

Cheerleader Satire's

Hey so this is a really late blog!!!!! I literally got this topic idk when and now doing it. Woo! I'm a good student! So lets start! OK so my blog is about satires! They are some people like to make fun of cheerleaders AND IT IS GETTING ON MY LAST NERVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People have been making fun of cheerleaders in many ways!

Very funny in ways, but making fun of cheerleaders who work their but off at practice and competition.People dying doing this sport, and are so dedicated! Now making a mockery of them and things that are childish are just annoying! They are funny to people, but to some cheerleaders its rude! TO ALL CHEERLEADERS YOUR WELCOME FOR FINALLY SAYING IT! Next thing are videos who make cheerleaders look stupid!! SO ANNOYING I SWEAR ! These satires are the worse! I see them all over social media like twitter or insta or vine or YouTube! Anywhere you look being on honest you'll see someone making fun of cheerleaders so no need to show an example video. OK!!!!!! So this all for my blog post this week thank you for reading! Byeeeeee!

My Cheering Life Lessons

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ITS ME AGAIN! This blog post I ma going to talk about my life lesson I learned in cheer. It all started my 2nd Junior year! I was one of the oldest and strongest of the team. I really wanted my back-handspring!!! I would love to be in the front doing my back handspring. I went to tumbling class, I listened to criticism. I did everything I needed to do, and I ended up not getting it. SPOILER ALERT!! I also was not used to being the strongest and oldest so I had A LOT of responsibilities. I always wanted to be a flyer, but ended up as a back spot. The coaches did favorite people so they put the other strongest and biggest girls in the air! Great idea right (sarcasm). Had to be the worst year for my whole cheering career, but being on the team with my friends made it better. So, lets get to the part with the life lesson. So, I didn't really like that year, so I didn't really try like I do now. I would try, but not putting 100 percent. I then learned my lesson. It was a practice before our 3rd competition and I was back spotting this girl and we were trying something very hard. Here's a video of something we tried to do.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpndSJsJswI  <--------- May look easy but its very hard!!!

So, I didn't really care so I tried and ended up hurting my wrist by her falling on me and my wrist twisted. IT HURT SO MUCH! I sat out for a little bit, and then realized how maybe if I tried and stop complaining about where I was placed in cheer maybe it would be easier for me and my stunt. After 30 minutes, of icing my wrist I went back in and put 100% in and my stunt was amazing!!!!! We hit every time, and our coaches were so proud of us. My life lesson I learned was to give 100% and don't just think about yourself, but others to. All in all, try your best in everything you do and don't give up!!!!! This is all from my blog post today!! I hope you enjoyed it! See you next week!!

PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHEERING MYTHS!!

Hey! Havent talked to you in A LONGGGGGGGGG time! So today I was clueless on what to do my blog on about myths, so i used google and tried to relate to. So first of all a myth that was really common was that to be cheerleader you have to BE PERFECT, AND STUPID, SKINNY! NOOOO NOOO honey! NOOOO! HERE IS A  PIC OF A TEAM THAT LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT!
Different sizes, colors, and personalitys! SO THAT MYTH IS A LIE! The next myth is that you have to be blonde to be a cheerleader! LOOK AT THE PIC AGAIN MY FRIENDS !! I have brown hair and  I've been cheering for 6th years and have not yet seen a team look alike!! The next myth is THAT CHEERING  IS FOR GIRLS ONLY! Nope it's also for boys! Every all star team adleast has a boy, and they are amazing! My last myth is that cheerleading is not DANGEROUS ! I have fell on my face, back, hurt my wrist, knee, neck, MOSTLY EVERYTHING AND GOT HURT! So what this myth is saying that holding a 100 pound girl in the air on grass or wood or mat and their depending on you to catch them isn't dangerous? WELL IT IS !!! IT IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS! All in all, these are some myths about the AMAZING SPORT CHEERLEADING !

Conspiracies Of SMOED

In the cheering community, and all around the world! The team California All-Stars is a very important and popular team! I have talked about them sometimes on my blog, but now i am going to talk about something mysterious about this team!

Now to begin, their is a team named SMOED! They practice daily, work hard, and always end up with the crown! Then, last year their team messed up at every competition, but at Worlds hit a perfect routine! INCREDIBLE! Its hard to be a team that people look up to, and have so much more pressure on them to hit a routine! They also spend thousands of dollars on traveling and their uniforms and bows. They then go to competitions and fight for first place! Now, imagine being on a team who would have terrible practices and competitions, and traveled all the way to WORLDS!!!! Their would be so much stress and anxiety! Its unreal! So in 2014 they had a really bad year and won Worlds. People think that they one Worlds because the coaches bribed the coaches or hacked the competition. Now I know from watching their videos on YouTube that i could not see them doing that because most of the athletes are doing it for fun and for the love of the sport. But, you never know whats inside the peoples mind. In conclusion, this is my conspiracy on Smoed winning Worlds by having a terrible season!!Thank you for reading!!

Peaceeeeee!

FAQ!!!!!!

Hey I'm back with another blog post, so I am always asked questions about cheering that are always asked so I am going to a FAQ on cheering. Might seem like there are not really any frequently asked questions about cheer, but trust me THEIR ARE! So lets begin...

Is cheering a sport?

Now. Now. Now. As being a cheerleader and hearing this question obviously I am going to say yes, but to some people its not and I don't know why they don't think its a lot but we try just as much as football players and basketball people! We tumble, we flip, we stunt, we yell and so many other things!! Might not seem like we do things but we do! Sweating our butts off at practice, breaking things or factoring parts of your body, sore after every practice, conditioning 24/7 yeah... THAT'S A LOT! I could keep going on with this, but don't want to keep you on this question for long.

What is tumbling?

Tumbling is when the cheerleaders do their flips for example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhFx19RzNkw

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ WATCH THAT VIDEO AND IT WILL SHOW YOU WHAT TUMBLING REALLY IS (btw that's one of my fav tumblers)

What are jumps?

Jumps are when you jump and hit a position in the air (like a toe-touch, a hurkey, or a pike) Example:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMd4NwsB_LM

What is a full-out?

Is something a cheerleader loves or hates to do at practice. Their is no in between!!  A full-out is when you do your routine without stopping till the end and act like your at competition!
Basically that picture explains how painful full-outs are!

How could something so easy... Look so hard?

Well, by having a lot of practice and having trust in everyone on the team can make you very successful! Practices are a big part of how cheerleaders transform from regular cheerleaders to all-stars, by practicing how to do all the things in a stunt, practicing tumbling, taking criticism, and learning to love the sport!

SO THIS WAS MY BLOG FOR THIS WEEK AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED AND LEARNED MORE ABOUT CHEERING!<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 BYEEEEEE!!

The Attack On Paris :(

This week I am blogging about something off topic, but very necessary to talk about! As may of you have heard their was an attack on Paris. On November 13th, gunmen were unleashed, and left more than 132 people dead and more then 350 injured. All together, the attack was now known for the deadliest attack in France. Their were attackers with hurled grenades, suicide bombing, and shot hostages. Look at these pictures of the devastation.:(

Look at all of that! And all of this happened in just one night! Can you believe that? This was an attack that ISIS did! They attacked a soccer game, concert, and evenings suddenly disturbed. as people said " The sounds of explosions and gunfire could be heard throughout the city" That night and early Saturday morning police were swarming the streets. This was the second time this year that Paris has been a scene of mass murder. French President vowed revenge. He stated that " WE are going to lead a war which will be pitiless". The French government at first announced that all eight of the attackers had been killed. Now in Washington, President Obama offered condolences to the French people and promised U.S. help " to bring these terrorists to justice." In conclusion, Obama said that the wave of violence was not just an assault on France, but President Barack Obama called it " an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share." All in all, this was just a summary of what happened in Paris. I think everyone should acknowledge this extremely devastating attack. Thank you for reading my blog about this attack! Like and comment! #PrayForParis <3

How To Become A Cheerleader!

Hey guys I'm back with another blog post. This blog post is about how to become a cheerleader. I picked this topic because I just became captain on my cheer team at school and I think these tips could benefit you the way they did me.  I believe that these tips could help you in many ways. For example, having confidence in yourself can help you by believing in yourself more. When I first started cheering I was a back spot and base, then last year I just became a flyer.  I had to learn all the qualities to have in a flyer.  I had to know when to make faces, like smiling or winking, had to trust the people below me; and had to stretch to pull all my skills together. All in all, this shows how you would have confidence. Thank you for viewing my blog! Leave a comment and follow me!!! Have a blessed day!!
See you next week!!

Interviewing Former Cheerleader

Interviewing My Sister!

Hey I'm back today with a very interesting person who has been with me since day 1. LITERALLY like i was born and she was there no joke! *laughing emoji face! So, she is a former cheerleader, and has cheered for 6 years like me, but had to sit out one year because she had knee surgery. She has to be my role model because she is the one who encouraged me to start cheering. So, enough background information but so today i am going to get on with the point of this blog and that is that i am going to interview my sister about the sport cheering!

Question: What inspired you to become a cheerleader?
Answer:  well it all started when my 3rd grade teacher passed out the tryout flyers and i was interested. I asked my mom and she said yes so i tried out and i made the team and i did great! I met new people, got to know people better, got awards, and so many opportunities.

Question: What was your favorite thing about cheerleadering?
Answer: Doing competitions, and getting things at the competitions. I maybe got 50 bows every competitions, and my favorite part was getting a smoothie or dip-dots!

Question: Who was your inspiration in cheering?
Answer: I really didn't have an inspiration, but if i had to pick it would be an all-star team like SMOED. They are so inspiring, and give everything they got to the floor.

Question: What was your position in cheer?
Answer: i was a backspot and base. My favorite position is backspotting because i feel in control.

In conclusion, this is my interview with my sister about cheering and her experience on her cheer-leading teams. Thank you for listening to this blog, comment, and follow me! BYE FOR THIS WEEK!!!!

Comparing Pro-Athletes VS. Regular Cheerleaders

Hey! I'm back with another blog post and in this one I am comparing regular cheerleaders to all-star cheerleaders. What is the difference between all-star and regular cheerleaders? Well, ALOT! Being  an all-star cheerleader is ALOT of work! All-star teams work mostly everyday of the week. Being on an all-star team is such a huge opportunity! You could experience SO MANY NEW THINGS! New competitions, and people. To add, by being on an all-star you have to have amazing skills! Something cool is that you could become famous because of your hard work! Here are some pictures of their dedication!

Now in these photos they are showing hard work!No team that are just cheering for football or basketball can learn that and hit everything perfectly! Its crazy how they could do all this, and trust every person and have a great bond! Now these are pictures of regular cheerleaders who cheer for games. Tell me if you see the difference?

To me these pictures are EXTREMELY different then the ones above!!!!!! To sum up, all they do is cheer and just don't really do anything unless they do a Hello cheer in the beginning and something at half-time. I would know because I am a regular cheerleader but my team does go to competition too though! So I experienced some of what all-star teams experience, but not all the competitions and seeing other teams. Being a regular cheerleader is hard to but, a little bit easier. I wouldn't say my team is easy, but it is compared to all-star teams! They condition for maybe the whole practice while all I do is run a lap and maybe do 15 frog jumps. I would want to do more and make my team better, but it is hard!

On the other hand, all-star teams and regular cheer teams may be different in many ways, but can be similar. They are similar because all teams equally do it for the fun of it. Another similarity is that they do show determination even though some jobs might be harder than others. Lastly, they are alike because they all try their best and at the end of the day show that they are proud of themselves.

To sum up, these are some similarities and differences about pro-athletes and regular cheerleaders. Comment if you have questions or suggestions! HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

SMOED 2013 Review!

My Favorite Cheerleadering Team and Season Ever!!!!!!!!

To some people cheerleading may just be another thing to do, but for this team it was their life. They have won Worlds 4 times. They are an extraordinary team who work out daily at the gym called "California All-Stars". They have been open for almost 10 years, and still going strong. They work with kids from 5 years old to 19 years old, so everyone has a really tight bond! There practices at the gym are hardcore. They run 4 miles, and then condition for sometimes 30 minutes to almost an hour. That is another reason on how cheering is a sport, and important to some people. Showing upto the practices and doing all the obstacles and how they all show dedication. For some people who dont understand why their name is SMOED it is because it stands for Small-Coed , which means both boys and girls are on the team but their can only be 4 boys. The boys on Smoed are OUTSTANDING! For a person in general to be on the team they have to be very experienced about the sport and have to be able to know how to feel comfortable with change because on SMOED your spot is never permanent. You could one day be a base who lifts people up then all of a sudden be a flyer. These changes could all cause injuries. For all-star teams like SMOED injuries happen daily! People on the team tear their ACL, and dislocate parts on their body and still are determined to compete at competitions. All the kids know that being on the team is a privilege so they dont take their opportunity for granted!
Now, your probably wondering on how i know all this information about the team. Well, i basically follow all of the cheerleaders on social media and on YouTube they have a YouTube channel called AwesomenessTv, and the team Smoed is on it. They basically have people from AwesomenessTv follow SMOED around and take videos of their practices and competitions and see how they came from a team with nervous faces to a team that is confident about everything and gives a 100% everyday and gives everything to contribute to his or her team. For anyone that is on SMOED i give them props to putting up with their hard routine and ESPECIALLY THE COACHES! The coaches are Orby Orta and the head coach Eddie Rios. They have to be the toughest coaches around! In my opinion they might even be worse then football team coaches. They don't care if your dying on the floor throwing up they will make you do anything, and work you harder! Seems easy, but ITS NOT! IT takes alot to be on the team.In conclusion, this is the team SMOED! I hope you enjoyed my review on the team. All together this team is amazing and are the defintion of perfection! Leave a comment if you have questions or anything you would like to tell me! Follow me for more about the sport called cheering! PEACE OUT!
